Directions

It is easy to get to Green Turtle Cay and Long Bay House.  Green Turtle Cay which is one of the islands in the Abaco chain is located 180 nautical miles east of West Palm Beach. The Abacos are part of the Bahamas, and  you can fly directly to them from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Orlando through small and large airlines, including American Airlines, Bahamas Air, Continental Airlines, and Twin Air.  Don’t forget your passport.  You will need it to enter the Bahamas and to return home.

There are two airports in the Abacos.  The closest to Green Turtle Cay is Treasure Cay, Abaco, Bahamas.  The airport code is TCB.  Once you clear immigration and customs, just step outside where there will be several taxis waiting.  It is a 3 minute taxi ride to the Green Turtle Ferry. The Ferry runs throughout the day and will deliver you to Green Turtle in 10 minutes.

The other airport is at Marsh Harbour, Abaco and its airport code is MHH.  Marsh Harbour is located approximately 20 miles south of Treasure Cay.  You will need to catch a taxi to the Green Turtle Ferry dock.

Once you board the ferry tell the captain you are staying at Long Bay House.  He will notify Mary Lowe, the estate manager, to meet you at the town dock.  She will take you to the house and get you settled in.
